Former Real Madrid star Antonio Cassano sensationally revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo had sent him a strong message, after he left the 39-year-old forward out of his list of top five players. Cassano has been an outspoken critic of Ronaldo over the past few years.

Cassano had previously taken a dig at Ronaldo, by controversially claiming that he does not know how to play football. He had most recently stated that he did not care even if the Portuguese forward went on to score 3000 goals in his career, and also labelled him as ‘selfish’, underlining his dislike for the Al-Nassr star.

Antonio Cassano recently stated that he would not include the 39-year-old forward in his list of top ten footballers of all time, angering not just fans, but Ronaldo himself.

The former Inter and AC Milan star, in a recent podcast, revealed that Ronaldo felt disrespected over his omission. He exclaimed that he received a text message from a ‘+34’ number, supposedly belonging to Ronaldo.

The message consisted of the long list of achievements that he had garnered over the last two decades. Cassano also claimed that the 39-year-old forward sent him a voice note, angrily reprimanding him for criticizing him on television, and warned him to not do anything again.

I get a text message from a +34 number, that’s Spain. It’s a list of all the trophies, goals and statistics. Then he (Cristiano) sends me a voice note, telling me, ‘You disrespected me, don’t do anything like that again.‘

Moreover, Cassano, exclaimed that he answered to the Portuguese international via text, where he stated that the omission was not personal and that he only dislikes Ronaldo as a player. The ex-Roma star also made fun of the Al-Nassr star’s messages.

Saudi PL referee shockingly reveals Cristiano Ronaldo is very difficult and complains a lot

Saudi Pro League referee Said Martinez recently revealed his experiences working with Cristiano Ronaldo. The referee shockingly claimed that the Portuguese star complains a lot and is difficult, following a spat with the legend in a Saudi PL match.

Martinez has officiated a number of matches featuring the 39-year-old forward, but singled out a Saudi PL match, where he disallowed two of Ronaldo’s goals for off-side. Martinez stated that he was difficult to officiate due to his temperament.

The referee also added that Cristiano is very competitive and feels that there is a lot of injustice being done towards him, thus making him agitated and provocative.
