This NFL season’s Black Friday game will be played out between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders. The game will see Patrick Mahomes and his teammates take on a team led by Antonio Pierce at their home. People are now billing this game as a David and Goliath matchup.

The Chiefs were on an unbeaten run for nine straight weeks, until the Buffalo Bills handed them their first defeat of the season. In the following week, Patrick Mahomes and his teammates overcame a spirited comeback from the Carolina Panthers to resume their winning ways.

That comeback from Bryce Young should give the Las Vegas Raiders some hope of making something out of their upcoming game. People across the country will be looking forward to this game after a day full of shopping. But head coach, Antonio Pierce is not hopeful.

Let’s call a spade a spade. Best team in football against the worst team in football. Let’s change the narrative. Let’s go out there and make it a dogfight, let’s make it ugly, let’s make it scrappy. It’s Black Friday. Let’s create a little chaos, let’s get back to Raider football and have some fun as a person and let it loose.

The first-year head coach might have initially suggested that his Las Vegas Raiders are the worst team in football. But he also added that it gives them an opportunity to make it tough for the visiting team. He suggested that his players will play tough, scrappy football without any pressure going up against that team.

Antonio Pierce has a tough situation with his Raiders as Gardner Minshew was ruled out

When the Giants released Daniel Jones, the Las Vegas Raiders became a touted possible destination. They just had their leading quarterback Gardner Minshew leave their last game with a season ending injury. That means, the team was looking for some cover at the most important position.

But Jones quickly ruled the Raiders out as he wanted to be a part of a contending team which eventually saw him signing with the Minnesota Vikings. That leaves the Raiders with Aidan O’Connell coming off injured reserve and Desmond Ridder.

Antonio Pierce has clarified that he will be going with O’Connell. But that could be due to the fact that the 26-year-old is familiar with their system. Even then, they face a daunting task against the stud Kansas City Chiefs defense.

But Patrick Mahomes and his offense have not been stellar lately. If the Raiders defense can sniff something out, maybe the ‘worst’ team in the league could put up a fight. It might have been the best way for Pierce to make them the underdogs.
