NBA players only get to spend more time with the basketball community outside of the league during the offseason. They are actively involved in both basketball camps and pro-am leagues across the nation with the latter being particularly significant. Notably, NBA star Draymond Green was present at a NIL Camp, offering important advice to the school kids learning the sport.

In a video making rounds on the internet, Green offered the kids some no-nonsense advice regarding rankings and thinking of the game. Green also asserted to the kids that they were “complaining” a lot about not getting proper “calls” from the referees. It’s important to note that Rich Paul‘s Klutch Sports Group carried out this camp, with Green being one of Paul’s high-profile clients in the NBA.

Y'all chasing the game, like all young dudes do. Come down, 'I need to get a 3,' and ain't nobody Steph Curry, but everybody wanna get a 3...Also, what have y'all done to get calls? I was this close [to] not giving y'all one, and there's nothing any of y'all can say. So, why are we crying about calls?

On the other hand, Green has been known for his dirty antiques on the court for his side, the Golden State Warriors in the NBA for years. In the past 2023-24 NBA season, Green had a whooping 10 technical fouls, 4 ejections, and 2 suspensions, amounting to around 17 games. Hence, Green’s advice to the young kids comes with a lot of experience from the 4-time NBA champion.

Draymond Green also shared his views on “young players” starting podcasts

Draymond Green has been in the news lately due to remarks he made on the Club 520 Podcast about “young NBA players.” Notably, Green has been one of the NBA’s most successful players with the Golden State Warriors. As a side project, he has his own podcast, “The Draymond Green Show.” Green, though, is not a huge admirer of young NBA players launching podcasts.

When I see guys doing it now, I have two thoughts. A, I like that you’re doing that, I think that’s super dope that you’re doing that. But B, make sure that you’re in the space to do it first...I love that you’re doing it. I love that you found something that you want to do, but you in year three and ain’t done sh**. Nobody really want to hear from you.

Notably, Green has proven to be an adept multi-crafter as the four-time NBA Champion and all-time finest defensive player on the floor. In the media, he has also achieved popularity with his podcast, “The Draymond Green Show.” But Green thinks that all NBA players, especially the younger ones, shouldn’t focus on podcasting until they have made a name for themselves as players in the league.
