Tap-strafing is an advanced movement technique that mainly Mouse and Keyboard players use to make sharp turns to evade or attack lesser mobile opponents in Apex Legends. This advanced technique is not easy on mouse and keyboard by any means but it’s comparatively easy on mouse-keyboard than controllers.

In a recent tweet, Respawn addressed tap-strafing by saying, “After much consideration and debate, we’ve decided to remove tap-strafing from @playapex in patch 10.1. Our reasoning: It’s inaccessible, lacks readability/counterplay, and is exacerbated by movement abilities. The next patch notes will include a more detailed note about this.”

Most of the pros are not happy with this decision as this eliminates one of the advanced movement techniques and counterplay against less mobile aimers. According to pros this decision of purely favoring casual players and will impact pro play heavily.

Rouge just said, “Change this decision.” in a funny way but on the other hand, Impirealhal encountered Respawn in a more aggressive way by saying, “Another skilled Mechanic removed from the game again to favor the casuals, why am i not surprised ! #SaveTapStrafing#SaveTapStrafing“
