Are the Eagles Planning to Trade AJ Brown Before the NFL’s Deadline?
AJ Brown posted cryptic post following the Eagles win over the Vikings, hinting at a possible trade, but the Eagles are not willing to listen to any offers this year.

NFL teams that shortlisted AJ Brown as a trade option were notified that the mercurial wide receiver is untouchable. The Philadelphia Eagles have no interest in parting ways with their prized asset.
Brown shook the football world around the time when the Eagles experienced a rough patch by posting cryptic messages that contained hidden signals about a storm brewing in Philly. Even though the Eagles led the NFC East, the All-Pro wideout was unhappy with the limited number of targets.
Several Eagles players, including running back Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, and quarterback Jalen Hurts held a meeting with Brown to fix the situation ahead of the week six fixture against the New York Giants.
Brown nearly recorded 100 yards in the game, even though the Eagles left the Big Apple with a defeat. The following week, Brown crossed 100 yards and scored 2 touchdowns from 4 catches in a win over the Minnesota Vikings. However, a day after the game, the Ole Miss graduate raised the heartbeats of the Eagles’ fans with a tweet.
According to Eagles Wire, Brown wrote in the latest Instagram post, “Using me, but not using me,” which can only be interpreted as wanting to be more involved in the game regardless of how many touchdowns he scores.
With the trade deadline closing in less than ten days, NFL teams that are in the hunt for an elite target man reportedly reached out to the Eagles front office to inquire about AJ Brown. However, the Eagles made it clear that they will not listen to any trade requests for Brown.
ESPN insider Adam Schefter tweeted:
The Philadelphia Eagles are not expected to trade star wide receiver A.J. Brown before the NFL’s Nov. 4 deadline.

Eagles owner weighs in on AJ Brown trade talks
The Athletic’s Dianna Russini spoke with the Eagles owner, Jeffrey Lurie, about Brown this past week. Lurie clarified that he and general manager Howie Roseman will only consider trading the 28-year-old if the move benefits the team.

We do what’s best for the team. We don’t even consider it seriously unless it’s best for the Eagles. We will always do what gives us the best chance of winning big. Everything else is secondary.

Brown has played every game in 2025 to rack up 29 catches from 51 targets for 395 yards and 3 touchdowns. At this rate, he could finish with a little over 1000 yards and 8 TDs, which is eerily similar to last year when he caught 67 passes for 1079 yards and 7 touchdowns.
After winning his first ring in February, Brown claimed that the winning feeling lasted just a couple of days.
After a few days, I’ve had time to reflect on being a champion. I tried to feel how everyone made it seem to be a champion and unfortunately, it was short-lived.. two days to be exact lol.

Brown has played a total of 97 games across the seven seasons with the Tennessee Titans and the Eagles. In those games, he has racked up 475 receptions for 7421 yards and 52 touchdowns.
