There has never really been a moment where Bronny James has not been in the spotlight since being drafted as the 55th overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2024 NBA draft. Being the son of arguably the greatest player to ever play the game, LeBron James, was never going to be easy. The young guard has struggled in his time in the G League as well and is averaging 10.5 points, 4.8 assists and 4.5 rebounds, but shooting just 34.1 percent from the field with 17 turnovers. The signs do look worrying for Bronny at the moment.

Off the court, Bronny has been under scrutiny for his lack of good performances and was recently dissed by American rapper Pooh Shiesty in his new song. But to make matters worse, a rumor has been spreading on social media that Bronny’s girlfriend Parker Whitfield is pregnant with his child, putting him in the spotlight once again.

It was a post by Hoops Crave on X that went viral regarding Bronny. But there is no confirmation or any update surrounding the rumor, so it appears to be a hoax just to gain some fan engagement.

The couple have been linked together for over a year and have attended high school together. Both were athletes during their school days and Bronny played basketball and Whitfield played softball.

Bronny shared a photo of the two of them celebrating Whitfield’s 21st birthday on his Instagram stories and captioned it, “Happy Birthday to my everything.” In the photo, the couple are sitting next to each other in front of the birthday cake.

The rumors of their relationship began back in August 2024 when the two of them were spotted together during the Paris Olympics.

Parker’s mother is actress Salli Richardson-Whitfield, who has appeared on episodes of House and Criminal Minds. Her father, Dondré T. Whitfield, is a veteran actor and has starred in various shows as well.

Rich Paul confirms that LeBron James will stay at the Lakers this season

With every offseason, there are rumors surrounding LeBron James. It is either him being traded or he will be announcing his retirement. Reports in the offseason suggested that James was not happy with the Lakers’ management, as the franchise was building a roster around Luka Doncic as they prepare for life in the post-James era.

But James’ longtime agent, Rich Paul shut down the rumors and was not optimistic about the Lakers’ chances of lifting the NBA Championship this season. While sitting with Max Kellerman on their new podcast, “Game Over”, Paul said:

No. Where’s he gonna go?

When Kellerman suggested that the New York Knicks would be a possibility. Paul said:

That’s wishful thinking, Max, from New York. Does LeBron make the Knicks better? Yes. Yeah, he would, of course. But 29 other teams would say the same thing.

Those statements have made it clear that James is focused on seeing out the season and possibly ending his career with the Lakers.
