Arman Tsarukyan accused Michael Chandler of chasing money instead of UFC gold. Chandler recently made some comments about Tsarukyan rejecting the offer to Islam Makhachev at UFC 302. The fighter claimed that it was a risky move from the Armenian, given the competitive nature of the sport.

Chandler received a reaction from Arman Tsarukyan, who said the fighter would not comprehend his decision. Tsarukyan drew parallels between himself and Michael Chandler, asserting that while Chandler wanted money, he pursued the title.

I don’t expect you to understand @MikeChandlerMMA. We are not on the same level. I am here to be the champ. You are just waiting for a paycheck. I also don’t understand why you waited Conor fight for 2 years, you could’ve lost 4 exciting fights during that time.

Chandler has patiently awaited the Conor McGregor fight since his previous UFC bout in 2022. Finally, the fighter will have the chance to take on the ‘Notorious’ at UFC 303.  The fight is scheduled to take place in the welterweight division, but that doesn’t mean Chandler won’t return for the lightweight title.

On the other hand, Arman Tsarukyan has always shown his intentions to get his hands on the championship. In his last fight at UFC 300, Tsarukyan beat Charles Oliveira to put himself ahead in the title race. If Chandler can put on a winning streak and the Armenian fighter wins the title, they could meet inside the octagon to settle their differences.

Arman Tsarukyan is currently one of the top lightweights in the division and has the potential to become the new champion. The fighter is good on the ground and has used it to his benefit. However, he didn’t understand Michael Chandler’s fighting style and accused him of being a low-IQ fighter.

During one UFC press conference, Tsarukyan discussed Chandler’s fighting approach and raised some doubts. The Armenian fighter couldn’t understand the idea behind throwing so many useless strikes and losing the fight at the end. 

Why miss thousand punches and lose fight. Okay, fans like it but it doesn't make sense. He lost all his fights, he goes crazy.

Chandler has often called himself the most entertaining fighter on the UFC roster. The former Bellator champion likes to put on a show for the fans, irrespective of the result. However, Tsarukyan doesn’t think that’s the most efficient way to participate in a fight, and Chandler should use his high-level wrestling skills to win fights.
