- Arman Tsarukyan donated his $10,000 bet winnings to a child facing serious illness after his match against Georgio Poullas.
- The rematch at RAF 07 resolved previous disputes from their controversial first encounter, which ended in a brawl.
- UFC CEO Dana White indicated potential interest in a matchup between Tsarukyan and bantamweight champion Mikey Musumeci under the UFC BJJ banner.
Arman Tsarukyan has become one of the most popular combat sports stars in recent times due to his growing presence in PR initiatives. His activity on social media and in streams with influencers has highlighted a fun, approachable side beyond competition. This public image was reinforced when he donated the $10,000 received from Georgio Poullas after their RAF 07 match to a child facing serious illness.
The RAF 07 match was a rematch of the controversial RAF 06 bout between Tsarukyan and Poullas, which ended in a heated brawl. Tsarukyan controlled the match with multiple takedowns, holds, and technical exchanges, building a 9‑3 points advantage. A decisive four‑point throw late in the match widened his lead and secured the official victory. The rematch resolved the disputes of their first encounter.
Before their second match, Tsarukyan and Poullas were at odds, trading barbs during the pre-fight press conference. Tsarukyan asked whether Poullas would pay $10,000 if he won by takedown. After the fight, the influencer wrestler handed the full $10,000 in cash to Tsarukyan. The Armenian UFC lightweight then showed a video of a child he helps regularly, revealing that the money would be donated to that child.

Interestingly, their first encounter lacked the civil interactions seen at RAF 07. After Tsarukyan defeated Poullas at RAF 06, he pushed his opponent and landed a flurry of punches. Both teams became involved, escalating into a brawl, widely believed to stem from Poullas repeatedly slapping and pushing the UFC lightweight. Poullas later revealed Tsarukyan’s team had also attacked his family during the confrontation.
Tsarukyan’s pre-fight bet also sparked controversy. When Tsarukyan proposed the $10,000 wager, Poullas asked if he could get a date with popular journalist Nina Marie Daniele, a close associate of Tsarukyan. The Armenian star responded firmly, warning Poullas never to mention his family. Daniele was present and confronted Poullas for bringing up her name, prompting an apology from the RAF competitor.
Arman Tsarukyan is undoubtedly one of the richest superstars on the UFC roster. The Armenian star is often seen traveling in sports cars, staying at scenic locations, and dining at the most luxurious restaurants. Despite this high-profile lifestyle, his recent charity work revealed a philanthropic side. The $10,000 donation to a child in need highlighted the personal generosity of the #2-ranked UFC lightweight contender.
Will Arman Tsarukyan fight under UFC BJJ?
UFC BJJ has grown rapidly as a professional BJJ platform under the UFC banner, expanding grappling beyond traditional MMA cards. Bantamweight champion Mikey Musumeci has been central to this growth, winning the inaugural title and defending it against top opponents. His consistent performances and high-profile bouts have helped establish him as one of the promotion’s most prominent stars.

UFC CEO Dana White was recently seen answering questions at the UFC Seattle press conference, where he was asked about potentially allowing Arman Tsarukyan to compete under the UFC BJJ banner. The reporter noted that UFC BJJ executive Claudia Gadelha had expressed interest in a matchup between Tsarukyan and Musumeci. White acknowledged the discussion, indicating the matchup could take place.
Arman? Tsarukyan? I guess. I don’t know. Is that what he wants to do? Well, I believe if Claudia wants it done, she’ll get it done.

Arman Tsarukyan is no stranger and has competed in high-level Brazilian jiu-jitsu matches under the ACBJJ banner. At ACBJJ 18 in Moscow, he faced former UFC champion Benson Henderson and won by arm-triangle choke in the first round. He later captured the ACBJJ 20 “Stars Belt” by submitting Mehdi Baydulaev with a rear-naked choke. These bouts demonstrated his technical proficiency in BJJ.
