Poullas later revealed Tsarukyan’s team had also attacked his family during the confrontation.

When Tsarukyan proposed the $10,000 wager, Poullas asked if he could get a date with popular journalist Nina Marie Daniele, a close associate of Tsarukyan. The Armenian star responded firmly, warning Poullas never to mention his family. Daniele was present and confronted Poullas for bringing up her name, prompting an apology from the RAF competitor.

At ACBJJ 18 in Moscow, he faced former UFC champion Benson Henderson and won by arm-triangle choke in the first round. He later captured the ACBJJ 20 “Stars Belt” by submitting Mehdi Baydulaev with a rear-naked choke. These bouts demonstrated his technical proficiency in BJJ.
