Arman Tsarukyan lost his long-awaited title opportunity at UFC 311 after suffering a sudden last-minute back injury before the event. Since that unfortunate setback, the Armenian fighter has been desperate to secure another shot, but nothing has worked in his favor. As a result of constant disappointment, Tsarukyan has fully shifted his focus to training with extreme intensity.
However, his recent over-enthusiasm during training sessions became too much and raised serious concerns for his coach. In a now-viral video, Tsarukyan was seen training with his coach and unexpectedly landed a spinning back kick in the mid-session. The impact was so intense that his coach flew backward and landed outside the octagon, crashing straight through the gate.

Tsarukyan captioned the viral training video with a humorous line, writing, “Can Somebody please keep the cage closed?” on Instagram. However, fans quickly questioned the authenticity of the incident, accusing Tsarukyan and his team of possibly staging the entire clip. Many pointed out that the coach’s fall looked unnatural, suggesting he intentionally positioned himself right in front of the open gate.
Tsarukyan has remained highly active in calling out top-ranked lightweights as he continues chasing another chance at the UFC title. Initially, he targeted a fight against Charles Oliveira, but the Brazilian veteran instead shifted his focus toward an immediate title opportunity.
Moreover, Dana White made it clear that the top contender will not compete for the title next. Now, after Oliveira lost his championship bout to Ilia Topuria at UFC 317, Tsarukyan redirected his attention toward the new champion. The lack of other contending names at 155-pound may have prompted him to call for a title shot, but it hasn’t worked out well so far.
Fight fans react to Arman Tsarukyan’s latest viral video
After withdrawing from the UFC 311 title fight, Arman Tsarukyan faced criticism from UFC CEO Dana White for missing the opportunity. White publicly stated that Tsarukyan must now earn his position again through consistency, discipline, and impressive performances in upcoming events.
Since then, Tsarukyan has taken meaningful steps, including successfully making weight at UFC 317. Staying active in the division and taking on a meaningful contender could propel the Armenian star to get the title shot. However, he has tried other ways to hype up a future title shot.

He also sat octagon-side at UFC 317, witnessing Ilia Topuria knock out Charles Oliveira and had an online dispute with the champion. Tsarukyan has accused Topuria of running away from a real challenge and potentially taking on easier opponents like Paddy Pimblett. He has also questioned Topuria’s ability to wrestle and has promised to exploit that in a potential title fight.
On the other hand, Topuria mocked Tsarukyan for his unimpressive performance against Oliveira during their last encounter inside the octagon. The current pound-for-pound king confidently claimed he would easily defeat Tsarukyan if the two lightweight contenders ever shared the cage. However, fans seem more interested in Tsarukyan’s recent viral video of him kicking his coach straight through the octagon door.

Fans didn’t miss the opportunity to brutally roast Arman Tsarukyan for allegedly faking the situation along with his coach. They made several jokes and made sarcastic comments on the top lightweight contender. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to see whether the Armenian fighter gets his title shot soon or will have to wait for another year.
