From a legendary media run to random funny videos to getting into brawls, top UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan is everywhere. The fighter has been extremely active in the grappling scenario and recently went against Georgio Poullas at RAF 6. The match didn’t go as planned at the end and almost involved the UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev.
During the intense grappling contest, Poullas repeatedly slapped, scratched, and attempted to poke at Tsarukyan’s head, escalating tensions dramatically. After the bout officially ended, the Armenian punched the American opponent, bloodied him instantly, and triggered a chaotic brawl.
Members from both fighters’ entourages stormed forward aggressively, forcing security personnel to intervene and separate everyone involved. Although Khamzat Chimaev was not physically present, he witnessed the entire altercation unfold live through an online stream. According to Tsarukyan, the Chechen instantly called him afterward, expressing readiness to fly out and support him.
Tsarukyan explained that Chimaev was fully prepared to step in physically if the chaotic situation demanded. However, Tsarukyan calmed the reigning 185lbs kingpin down, assuring him that everything was under control despite tensions. He further admitted that in a real brawl scenario, Chimaev’s intensity and aggression surpass even his own demeanor.
For sure [Khamzat]. Everybody’s scared of him. I wouldn’t fight him too.

Both fighters also share an old rivalry, making this contest extremely entertaining.
Arman Tsarukyan talks about his recent meeting with UFC top brass
Arman Tsarukyan has been in the UFC lightweight title picture for a long time, but has yet to achieve success. He was close to fighting former champion Islam Makhachev at UFC 311, but a last-minute injury ruined the opportunity. Since then, the fighter has been neglected by the UFC, especially CEO Dana White, who has told him earn his shot.

Tsarukyan has done that and has certainly built his name more in the last few months, and has beef with the champion Ilia Topuria. Both fighters have shared verbal exchanges and have mocked each other on different occasions. During the recent interview, the Armenian fighter talked about his next fight and his recent meeting with UFC top brass.
I already talked to Hunter a couple of weeks ago, we’ve got a couple of options. Like, title fights, like just (normal) fights, I don’t know, we’ll see how it plays out. Any (title fight). 170lbs, 145lbs, 155lbs. A fight for the 155lb title (the most appealing option), in like September or October, after Justin. It was a good meeting. We always have good meetings. I’m always good with Hunter. They said keep doing what you’re doing
Arman Tsarukyan continued.

Tsarukyan is ready for any opportunity, including going down and fighting Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight championship. However, ‘Volk’ has already denied that fight as he’s more focused on giving chances to the top contenders.
Apart from that, Tsarukyan is also interested in the symbolic BMF title, which is currently held by Max Holloway. It will be on the line this weekend as Holloway takes on Charles Oliveira in the main event of UFC 326, and it would be interesting to see which opportunity will work out the best for Tsarukyan next.
