In Short
  • Arman Tsarukyan criticized Colby Covington's claim to the "King of Miami" title on social media.
  • Tsarukyan's jab referenced Covington's legal issues stemming from an incident with Jorge Masvidal.
  • Both fighters have faced scrutiny from the UFC, with Tsarukyan seeking high-profile bouts across multiple promotions.

Arman Tsarukyan has emerged as one of the most likable and popular fighters in the UFC in recent years, building a strong connection with fans. Much of this has been driven by his activity outside the UFC, including collaborations with top streamers and a polished social media presence. The Armenian lightweight recently used that same platform to take a shot at former interim champion Colby Covington.

Tsarukyan has remained highly active outside the UFC, competing across multiple platforms, with nearly 9 appearances in an 11-month stretch. During this run, he has regularly featured under ACBJJ, Hype FC, and ADXC promotions. He has also found consistency under the Real American Freestyle banner, earning wins over Lance Palmer in his promotional debut and twice over Georgio Poullas at RAF 06 and RAF 07.

Covington has also been active under the Real American Freestyle banner, securing wins over former UFC champion Luke Rockhold on debut, and Dillon Danis at RAF 07 in the co-main event of the card. However, recently, Tsarukyan posted a photo of himself in front of a Bugatti while gesturing toward the camera. The post featured a caption that included a subtle jab directed at Covington on his Instagram.

The Real King of Miami. Don’t worry, I don’t sue when I get in a fight.

Covington has long proclaimed himself the “King of Miami,” a persona he has maintained for years, especially during his heated rivalry with Jorge Masvidal in the UFC. Tsarukyan was also seen a few months ago in Bal Harbour with the same Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, a location known for its luxury and influence. His recent post may be interpreted as a subtle shot at Covington’s long-standing claim.

Tsarukyan also took a subtle shot at Covington by mentioning that he would not sue anyone, a remark seen as a jab at the American’s legal case against Masvidal. The lawsuit stems from a 2022 Miami Beach incident when Masvidal allegedly attacked Covington outside a restaurant, causing injuries and property damage. Covington later filed a civil suit seeking compensation for medical expenses and other damages.

However, Arman Tsarukyan and Colby Covington share a strained relationship with the UFC. The Armenian star has been under scrutiny from Dana White, who has declined to give him a title shot due to past behavioral concerns. ‘Chaos’, meanwhile, has criticized the UFC for overlooking him despite his achievements. However, it remains possible that the two could face each other under the RAF banner.

Arman Tsarukyan highlights the difference between dieting in camp and on a daily basis

Arman Tsarukyan’s love for food is no joke, reflecting a side of the Armenian superstar beyond his UFC performances. He has been known to enjoy everything from fast food on his private jet to delicacies like camel meat following his UFC Qatar victory. Tsarukyan is frequently seen consuming or distributing large quantities of food at some of the world’s most luxurious restaurants.

However, despite often consuming large quantities of junk food and heavy meals, Tsarukyan maintains one of the most shredded physiques on the current UFC roster. He is also regarded as one of the strongest wrestlers in the division. The Armenian native recently highlighted the contrast between his eating habits during fight camp and after a fight during a livestream with Looksmaxxing influencer Clavicular.

Despite his unconventional eating habits, Arman Tsarukyan remains one of the most active fighters in the combat sports world today. He has shown relentless activity since being snubbed from the UFC interim title fight, competing frequently across multiple promotions. The Armenian lightweight is now scheduled to face UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber at RAF 08, continuing his push in high-profile bouts.
