CM Punk has achieved a lot throughout this professional wrestling career across various promotions. However, he did not get there on his own. As much as he likes to help the next generation of wrestling superstars, the Straight Edge Superstar is still open to learning himself. He still looks for feedback from veterans of the industry, such as Arn Anderson.

Speaking on the Four Horsemen Network, Anderson revealed that Punk came up to him and several other wrestling legends after his Hell in a Cell match against Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood. He was looking for feedback from The Enforcer himself, Diamond Dallas Page, and Tully Blanchard.

Arn Anderson believed that someone in Punk’s position coming to them and asking for ways to improve showed the 45-year-old’s humility. The Horseman was a huge advocate of learning from the generation that came before one. In fact, even at the age of 66, he still learns a lot from his predecessors.

The fact that he actually wanted our opinion of what we thought – for a guy in his position, that was very humbling. There’s much to learn about the generation before you – I know I learn something every day. So the fact that he actually thought it had merit, it was very humbling.

The former NWA Television Champion appreciated Punk’s view of the professional wrestling business. He believed that the mentality of the entire company under the new regime and Triple Hย was very refreshing to see.

Punk also does his best to transfer this knowledge to the next generation of professional wrestlers. He is often seen hanging out with NXT superstars and imparting his wisdom onto them. The Second City Saint has said that he is open to taking over NXT at some point.

When will CM Punk return to WWE programming

On the latest episode of Raw, CM Punk revealed that he was heavily battered up after his Hell in a Cell match against Drew McIntyre. He would be taking a break from WWE to go home and spend time with his wife and dog. While many fans were disappointed by this, it appears that the WWE Universe will not have to wait for very long to watch the Best in the World in action once again.

According to WrestleVotes Radio, Punk will only miss one PLE during his absence, that being Crown Jewel. He is already planned to be at Survivor Series and will probably return right after the Saudi show. The Voice of the Voiceless has been highly critical of WWE’s partnership with the Saudi Arabian government. It is likely that none of the parties involved want him at the show.

Following his return, Punk is likely to go after Gunther and his World Heavyweight Championship. He has already teased this matchup multiple times. This could be a huge feud for the promotion heading into Survivor Series. Furthermore, The Ring General is not involved in any significant storyline at the moment either.
