Liverpool boss Arne Slot complained about the yellow card that he received during the club’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal, revealing the reason why he was penalized. Slot has now been booked for two Premier League matches in a row.

The Reds were held to a 2-2 draw against the Gunners last weekend, after coming twice from behind to secure a point. Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah were the two goal-scorers for Arne Slot’s side, who moved to second place on the EPL table. Interestingly, during the second-half, referee Anthony Taylor walked over to the sidelines to show a yellow card to the Liverpool boss. The former Feyenoord boss later clarified about the incident during the post-match press conference.

Echoing similar concerns regarding refereeing standards, Slot revealed that he did not deserve to be booked by Taylor. He stated that he was trying to explain to the officials about the Arsenal players falling to the ground, whenever they had ball possession to change the momentum. Slot clarified that while complaining about this to one of his players, Ibrahima Konate, that it was ‘f***ing joke’, the fourth official overheard them and took it upon himself. This ultimately resulted in him being booked by the referee.

I said to Ibou (Ibrahima Konate), ‘This is a f***ing joke,’ and the fourth official thought I said to him. But that’s definitely not what I said. But I got a yellow for that and now I’m on two and I have to be careful.

Moreover, Arne Slot added that he needed to be careful for the club’s upcoming Premier League. Under him, Liverpool have enjoyed a brilliant start to the season, and are on a nine-match unbeaten streak. They next face Brighton twice, in the EFL Cup and in the EPL.

Liverpool put Jurgen Klopp’s £4 million-worth mansion up for sale, after Arne Slot turns it down

The Reds have put former manager Jurgen Klopp’s £4 million worth mansion in Formby, Merseyside, up for sale, ending a 20-year association with the lavish property. It was previously turned down by the club’s newly appointed manager, Arne Slot.

The massive Merseyside property was bought by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard in 2005 and boasts an impressive swimming pool, a two-storey gym, solarium, jacuzzi, and a private movie theatre. When Gerrard departed in 2015, the house was bought by then-Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, later being bought by the club for Jurgen Klopp. The German and his family resided in it for eight years, until 2024.

With Arne Slot stepping into Klopp’s shoes this summer, he turned down the opportunity to move into Klopp’s old home. The Dutchman has been living on his own in an apartment, while his family lives away in the Netherlands.
