Arsenal vs Burnley

Aaron Ramsdale (6/10): Worrying signs from Ramsdale. Made a meal of many easy catches.

Ben White (8/10): Solid defensively, pin-point with his distribution. Didn’t let the absence of Odegaard affect.

Rob Holding (7/10): Didn’t have much to do defensively. Was very scared with his distribution and took one too many touches.

Gabriel (8/10): Was the better of two center-backs offensively. Cleared some crucial long balls.

Tierney (6/10): One of his poorer games this season. Tierney was very ineffective, especially offensively.

Lokonga (7/10): Played some really threatening balls in the first half. Overcomplicated it in the second.

Odegaard (6/10): Started the game with clear intent. Dropped off real quick from then.

Emile Smith-Rowe (6/10): His run of poor form continues. Had a real threatening moment in the second half but Lacazette failed to score.

Martinelli (6/10): Had some real good actions to try and take on Roberts. However, the Burnley man got the better of him.

Bukayo Saka (8/10): Arsenal’s best outlet going forward. Caught out Pieters on several occasions.

Lacazette (5/10): Lacazette’s search for a goal continues. Missed a glorious chance to open the scoring in the second half.

Substitutes:

Eddie Nketiah (7/10): Came on with clear aggression. Won a couple of crucial corners.

Pieters (5/10): Saka managed to get the better of him on several occasions. Still managed to hold on to the clean sheet.

Ben Mee (8/10): Superb from the Burnley captain. Kept Lacazette out of the game for the most part.

Tarkowski (8/10): Similar to Mee. Guarded his post, secured possession arielly, and made crucial interceptions.

Mcneil (8/10): Came on fire really at the end. Drove Burnley forward on a couple of occasions on his own.

Roberts (9/10): Contender for a man of the match. Kept Martinelli outside for the whole game.

Westwood (6/10): Should count himself lucky to not get sent off in the first half. Managed the game well later.

Brownhill (7/10): Couldn’t do much going forward. Narrowed the passing lanes and made it difficult for Arsenal.

Vydra (5/10): Standard 5 for Vydra. His performance showed why Chris Wood was so important.

Jay Rodriguez (8/10): The better of two up front for the Clarets. Held up the ball and created counters.

Aaron Lennon (6/10): Made sure to help Roberts when dealing with Martinelli. Not that good going forward.
