Arsenal willing to send William Saliba out on loan in the month of January with Liverpool and Brighton interested
Interest from Liverpool, Brighton and West Brom has been reported on the young defender who hasn’t played for Arsenal yet in the Premier League. A recent comment of his on Matteo Guendozi’s post has caught the attention of many people and it is widely reported that he is unsatisfied with his situation in Arsenal.
A pattern has been observed and it doesn’t look good
Mikel Arteta inherited Unai Emery’s squad and signed a bunch of players this season. However it can be seen that most of Unai Emery’s signings have been sidelined. The only signings by Emery that have featured prominently for Arsenal and Arteta are Bernd Leno and Gabriel Martinelli. The rest of them have been sidelined or simply sent off. Case in point the recent departures of some of the players from the club.
Mesut Ozil who was signed by Arsene Wenger has been frozen out of the club with William Saliba suffering from the same fate of not being named in the Premier League and Europa League squad. Matteo Guendozi and Hector Bellerin have been sent off on loans despite the former being talented but problematic with his personality and the latter not given his favoured position. Ainsley Maitland-Niles also hasn’t featured since the day he expressed support to Mesut Ozil and has only played bit part roles.
Mikel Arteta has said that William Saliba doesn’t know the language and is struggling mentally to settle in the squad. He also suffered a personal tragedy and is struggling mentally because of that. Citing these reasons Arteta hasn’t played the highly talented defender who made the world look at him at the age of 17. With a recent comment of him saying that he is locked up at Arsenal, a loan move for him will mean better things for him.
It is stated that Liverpool will take him on the cheap and because of his low price Brighton and West Brom are all interested to get him. It will be an interesting affair to see which club gets him if Arsenal are letting him go on loan.
