The Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is preparing to host another major combat sports event this coming weekend. The fight card, supported by Riyadh Season, will be headlined by Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol, who are set to compete against each other. However, ahead of that, a lively conversation between Beterbiev and rival promoter Eddie Hearn has captured everyone’s attention.
Unlike many matchups, Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol remains unaffected. Last night, the featured fighters on the card, attended a pre-fight press conference. During the event, Bivol’s promoter and CEO of Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn, expressed that he shares a strong bond with Beterbiev. In response, the undisputed light heavyweight champion took a subtle jab at Hearn.
Yeah, of course. You give me opponents and I beat them, right?… We do good business.

There can be several reasons behind Beterbiev giving a critical response to the Matchroom boss. One reason could be the 40-year-old boxer’s impressive professional record, as he has won 21 fights, with 20 of those victories coming by KO. Additionally, Hearn’s frequent critical comments regarding Beterbiev’s boxing skills, especially when comparing him to his fighters, may also contribute to this response.
Beterbiev seemingly silenced any doubts from Hearn when he defeated 34-year-old Dmitry Bivol in his last outing. However, Bivol and his team were not satisfied with the judges’ decision, and called for an immediate rematch. As a result, both light heavyweight boxers are set to face each other again. Leading up to fight night, several fellow boxers have shared their predictions for the Beterbiev vs. Bivol rematch.
Matchroom star boxer Shakur Stevenson gives his final verdict on Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol rematch
Similar to Artur Beterbiev, Dmitry Bivol is another notable boxer in the light heavyweight category. Interestingly, Bivol has always proven to be a formidable challenge for every opponent he has faced. At 34 years old, the Russian boxer has achieved significant victories over well-known fighters, including Canelo Alvarez and many others.

Due to Bivol’s impressive record and dominant victories, many considered him the favorite to win. However, even though he couldn’t outclass Beterbiev, several prominent individuals still have faith in the 34-year-old boxer. Most recently, WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson expressed confidence in him.
I been saying kinda Beterbiev all week, then I switched up to Bivol once I seen Bivol. The way Bivol seems so focused it’s hard to go against him so I’m gonna rock with Bivol.

Shakur Stevenson’s praise for Bivol in the upcoming grudge match may stem from them being representatives of the same promotion. Interestingly, while Beterbiev is recognized for his sheer power, Bivol is known for his impressive technical boxing style. Therefore, it will be interesting to see who ultimately prevails in a few hours.
