Belarusian tennis ace Aryna Sabalenka got a very adorable fan to cheer for her during her second-round match at the 2024 US Open. During Sabalenka’s clash with Italy’s Lucia Bronzetti, a little girl came to cheer for her dressed exactly like the World No. 2. She even had a temporary tattoo on her arm, just like Sabalenka’s forearm tattoo.

While the Belarusian was all focused during her match against Bronzetti, Sabalenka wasted no time to meet her cute fan immediately once the win was secured. She interacted with the little girl and called her adorable. They got a few pictures clicked and Sabalenka also signed a few autographs for her mini version.

Later, in the post-match press conference, Sabalenka, when asked about the exact moment she noticed the young fan, said that she looked up during the match and saw a mini version of herself on the screen and found it adorable.

It was really adorable moment. I just looked up, and I saw on the big screen, like, mini-me. It was so cute (laughing). It's such a motivation to keep going to inspire the young generation. That's the main goal. Yeah, that was a very adorable moment. The first time I’ve see someone, like, dressing up the same as me and having a little tattoo and little tiger. How cute is that (laughing)?

Aryna Sabalenka was in control from the outset on a sweltering day in New York. The two-time Australian Open champion pulled out her big forehands to intimidate her opponent and Bronzetti found it tough to handle Sabalenka’s power.

The World No. 2 snatched her only break opportunity of the first set to go up 4-2 and calmly saw it out from there. She promptly broke twice early in the second set and secured victory with ease, finishing the match with an impressive 24 winners.

After the win, Sabalenka stated that she had come intending to close the match as early as possible.

I told myself that I had to stay focused from the first point to the last one, and make sure you're not going to spend a crazy amount of hours [playing] so you're ready for the next one. It's tough conditions to play in but I'm happy I was able to manage the win in two sets.

The Belarusian next faces Ekaterina Alexandrova. The two players are tied 3-3 in the head-to-head record with Alexandrova winning two of the last three matches played between them. While those two wins came in 2021 and 2022, Sabalenka registered a dominant win against the Russian at Wimbledon last year.
