Aryna Sabalenka celebrated her US Open win in a unique fashion as she drank champagne out of the shining cup.

Aryna Sabalenka‘s long wait for her maiden US Open title ended on Saturday (September 7) when she defeated Jessica Pegula in straight sets in the 2024 US Open final. Sabalenka redeemed herself from the defeat she suffered at the same venue last year. And as this win demanded a special celebration, she came up with one.
The recent major win marked Sabalenka’s third overall singles Grand Slam title win and first on American soil. The Belarusian ace celebrated her US Open win by popping champagne, pouring it into the trophy, and drinking straight from the cup as the crowd cheered.

Aryna Sabalenka stuns in a red dress during her champions’ photoshoot
Aryna Sabalenka had waited long for this cup and now that she has finally got her hands on it, the Belarusian ace is enjoying every moment with it. After getting the trophy, Sabalenka embraced it with a hug, lifted it to the crowd, and then walked out of the court with it.
After drinking champagne out of it, Sabalenka also went to the champions’ photoshoot with her shining US Open cup and, as it is with the Belarusian, energy was contagious. She wore a red dress and posed for the camera. Sabalenka seemed to be having a lot of fun as she danced around while others clicked her picture.
The World No.2 beat Jessica Pegula 7-5 7-5 on Saturday to fulfill her long-standing dream of winning the US Open title. The Belarusian started the season with a Grand Slam title and ended the Grand Slam season with a title in New York. With this, she became the first woman to win the US Open and the Australian Open in the same season since 2016.
