Aryna Sabalenka will be in action at the Indian Wells Open, the main draw of which is scheduled to start on March 5. But ahead of the season’s third WTA 1000 tournament, the Belarusian turned the glam up for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

The World No.1 had a very busy week upon her arrival in the United States. She landed in the country after disappointing campaigns at the Middle East Swing.

Following her Australian Open heartbreak, Sabalenka lost to Ekaterina Alexandrova in the Qatar Open first round. After the shocking defeat, she returned to winning ways in Dubai but it didn’t last for long as she was beaten in the third round by eventual finalist Clara Tauson.

In the US then, Sabalenka flew to Beverly Hills following an exhibition event in Las Vegas, the MGM Rewards Slam. The 26-year-old teamed up with tennis legend Andre Agassi for a match against the pair of Naomi Osaka and Mardy Fish.

Then at the Vanity Fair party, Sabalenka was clothed in a brown gown along with a jacket that had a darker hue of brown. Her hair was tightly tied behind her head and she completed the look with a pair of tinted glasses. Tennis fans, however, were unimpressed with her style.

Fans were very critical of the outfit she chose for the party, advising her to learn more about fashion. They also urged her to stick to tennis as they didn’t approve of her ensemble. Some even wondered whether Aryna Sabalenka was expecting a child.

Sabalenka stated that she doesn’t want to wait till she reaches 35 to have a child. She has expressed her wish to become a mom first and then return to tennis, just like several other women in tennis have done before.

Sabalenka is currently dating entrepreneur Georgios Frangulis. They were first spotted together during the 2024 Madrid Open. Frangulis is often seen supporting Sabalenka from the stands during her matches.

At the Indian Wells Open, Sabalenka will be the top seed and will be bidding for her first singles title in the tournament and her second trophy of the season following the Brisbane International. She has already claimed the doubles title in 2019 along with partner Elise Mertens. Last year in the tournament in California, the three-time Grand Slam singles champion fell to Emma Navarro in the fourth round.
