“As humble as they come” – Twitter applauds J.J. Watt as he comes forward to pay for the funeral of a fan’s grandfather

Arizona Cardinals defensive end, J.J. Watt has once again won the internet’s heart through his generosity. Watt is an absolute legend on the field through his beast-like ability to pressure opposing quarterbacks but off the field, he is a sweetheart.
The 33-year-old pass rusher is well known for his philanthropy. Watt is the president and founder of the Justin J. Watt Foundation, a charity organization that provides after-school opportunities for children in various communities, in order for them to get involved in athletics in a safe environment.
J.J. Watt steps up to help out a fan with her grandfather’s funeral
J.J. Watt was selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL draft by the Houston Texans and quickly rose to be a great defensive lineman. Throughout his career, Watt has been named the AP Defensive Player of the Year thrice and made to the First-team All-Pro five times. He has a plethora of records to his name including the Texans’ franchise records for sacks and forced fumbles. Owing to his elite production and unique skill set coupled with his leadership, Watt is considered to be one of the greatest defensive linemen of all time.
Apart from his NFL career, J.J. Watt is known for his commitment to giving back to the community. He has come forward to lend a helping hand on various occasions and on July 21, he once again came through for a grieving granddaughter. On Wednesday a Houston native, Jessica Simpson advertised on Twitter that she is willing to sell her pair of J.J. Watt sneakers and women’s Watt jersey to raise money to pay for her grandfather’s funeral. After seeing the tweet he was tagged in, Watt urged her to not sell her gear and that he would make arrangements for the funeral.
