Ashton Jeanty seems to be walking in the footsteps of Shedeur Sanders for the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine. Following the decision by the Colorado star quarterback, Boise State running back decided to skip on-field drills at the Combine and fans are not thrilled by the news.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that Jeanty will instead focus on medical evaluations and team interviews during the Combine, which is starting on Thursday in Indianapolis. Like Sanders, the running back has decided to showcase his skills in the on-field drills of Boise State Pro Day, whose date is yet to be announced.
Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty has elected to participate only in medical evaluations and team interviews at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, per his agent @henryorgann. He will take part in on-field drills during Boise State’s Pro Day.

With a first-round draft projection, Jeanty is coming off one of the most productive seasons in the history of collegiate football and fortunately, he’s about to make his NFL debut after a season illustrated by the running backs. After recording 2,601 rushing yards and 29 rushing touchdowns while leading his team to 12-team College Football Playoffs, he earned a First-team All-American.
Hunter is concluding his collegiate career with an impressive record, finishing with 4,769 yards and 59 touchdowns in 40 games. Heading for the 2025 NFL Draft, Jeanty is projected to be the 12th overall pick, likely to land in the Dallas Cowboys.

The trend is getting old. The combine is going to be non-existent if superstars keep withdrawing.

That’s kind of big news. Doubt it will affect hue draft position but I’m sure teams would have liked to see him.

Is he hiding something?

That scares me, why won’t he compete with his peers?

He’s hiding something, this is outrageous at this point!! According to the “draft analysts” you should be performing at the combine so they can properly scout you because game film doesn’t exist and they’re too lazy to watch you play for a min of 3 years in college!! 🤡🤡🤡

Though fans are expressing skepticism, Jeanty is regarded as the best running back in the Class of 2025. He secured the runner-up position in the 2024 Heisman Trophy voting, narrowly trailing Colorado’s Travis Hunter with the smallest margin ever seen since 2009.
