The Dallas Cowboys’ search for their next head coach has been a major topic of discussion in the NFL since the confirmed exit of Mike McCarthy. Although Deion Sanders hasn’t been officially mentioned, his name continues to surface in the conversation.
Ashton Jeanty, who came second in this year’s Heisman Trophy, remarked on what he thinks of Deion Sander potentially joining the Cowboys as their next head coach. The Dallas Cowboys had one of the worst home starts and unwanted media attention all season, and as they head into the offseason are setting their eyes on Ashton Jeanty. Jeanty is all aboard the Cowboys’ train.
In a recent sitdown with Fox News Digital, Jeanty remarked about the possibility of playing for Sanders in Dallas.
Jeanty, speaking to Fox News Digital as part of his collaboration with SAXX, also expressed his admiration for Sanders, highlighting him as “a man of faith.”
Although Jeanty’s glowing praise highlights Sanders’ influence as a coach, the chances of him landing the Dallas job remain low. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, it is “very unlikely” that Sanders will even be interviewed for the role. Nevertheless, the rumors persist, and Jeanty’s remarks only fuel the speculation further.
Ashton Jeanty strikes gold with new SAXX deal ahead of NFL draft
Last month, Ashton Jeanty partnered with SAXX to promote their men’s underwear line, designed for all-around comfort. Speaking to Fox News Digital, he shared that he never imagined, even in his wildest dreams, that he would become an underwear model.
In the interview, Jeanty also admitted that it was Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby who helped Janty get what could be one of the beginning deals of his career.
Ashton Jeanty and Boise State qualified for the College Football Playoff as the Mountain West conference champions. However, their run came to a quick end when Penn State crushed the dreams of Jeanty and the Broncos quite early on. Jeanty, one of the top performers of the season came so close to breaking a decades-long record held by Barry Sanders. Jeanty rushed for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns, falling 27 yards short of Sanders’ single-season rushing record.
