The two neighbours, India and Pakistan will clash against each other after almost one year in the Asia Cup 2022. The blockbuster match is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 28 at the Dubai International Stadium. Videos and photos have been doing rounds on the internet about the meeting of both the team players. This time, it’s India’s captain Rohit Sharma, who was seen having a long chat with Pakistan skipper Babar Azam ahead of the much-awaited clash.

It’s to be noted that both the countries will be without their main pacers- Jasprit Bumrah and Shaheen Afridi. Both of them have sustained injury that ruled them out of the entire tournament. Shaheen was one of the reasons why Pakistan defeated India at the ICC T20 World Cup that too by 10 wickets, which was also for the first time at the World Cups.

“Rohit Sharma has an edge over Babar Azam as captain”- Younus Khan
Former Pakistan captain Younus Khan said that Rohit Sharma has the edge over Babar Azam when it comes to captaincy. He gave experience as the reason behind this claim and that Rohit has also played under good skippers.
“We all know how crucial Rohit and Babar are when it comes to scoring big runs for their teams and the importance they carry in terms of putting up performances of significance,” Younis was quoted as saying to Telegraph India.
“But, captaincy-wise, Rohit has an edge over Babar because he has had a longer period as a senior Team India member and played under good captains as well. So that experience bodes well for Rohit,” he added.
