The Asia Cup finals jinx has been broken for the first time in 41 years. India and Pakistan have finally made it opposite to each other in the grand finale of the multinational tournament that started way back in 1984.
Funnily enough every time one team would stumble in the early stages and not make it to the final but this time around it has happened just the way every cricket fan would want it to. This is also the first time both teams will play each other for the third time in the tournament. The final will take place on the 28th of September, Sunday, at the Dubai International Stadium.
Asia Cup Final: India vs. Pakistan Possible Lineups
India has found their best combination for the final and are highly unlikely to change anything in this winning combination. They prefer going in with one genuine fast bowler and one fast bowling all-rounder and three spinners to possibly choke the opposition in the middle order. However, the only tricky question here is the batting order India will decide on the day of the final.
Often in this tournament, India has been seen playing around with their batting order with surprising promotions and demotions being a common sight. However, for the all-important final one would expect them to show the stability expected with Tilak Varma at number 3 and Suryakumar Yadav at number 4 before the all-rounders.
India’s Probable Playing XI for the final: Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav (C), Sanju Samson (WK), Shivam Dube, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy

Pakistan too now seem to have found their best combination and are seen playing two express fast bowlers. Their bowling is firing big time with the spinners too taking good control of things. For them, the big worrying sign is their inconsistent batting.
The promotion of Fakhar Zaman to open the batting is something they are expected to stay with. Saim Ayub hasn’t had the best outing with the bat but his vital contributions with the ball makes him keep his place in the final.
Pakistan’s Probable Playing XI for the Final: Sahibzada Farhan, Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha (C), Hussain Talat, Mohammad Harris, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed
