Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants fans engage in a brutal showdown on Wednesday night’s game. These two teams are often in the highlights with fan fights considering their years-long rivalry.

In the video, it was seen that two A’s fans were throwing punches to two Giants fans, as they tumbled around the ground. While one of the Giants fan managed to get up from being beaten, he was again put on the ground by them.

According to reports, their fight started following a “verbal altercation that turned physical.” A man was arrested for the fight that took place at Oracle Park, but his identity has been kept hidden.

SFPD noted that police officers intervened at 8:30 pm, and the injured were taken to the hospital. Thankfully there were no long-lasting or permanent injuries to any of the parties. The man who got arrested identified himself as Aron Soto of Stockholm. 

The outcome of A’s vs. Giants fan fight

In the video, it was caught that one of the A’s fans was yelling at his partner to stop fighting and get going. However, even with his intervention, the group of four kept on exchanging punches, until the two A’s fans were seen leaving the scene.

Fan fights are quite common in MLB, and many teams harbor strong rivalry amongst each other. An example of this would be – New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox. Their rivalry has been going on for decades with no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Regardless of Wednesday’s fiery fight, the game ended on a good note with the San Francisco Giants winning 1-0 against the Oakland Athletics. Giants ace Logan Webb played a crucial role in boosting the team to victory. He also recorded his second career complete-game shutout.
