The incident took place during the 2012 Diamond League in Oslo, Sweden. Usain Bolt took on the previous World record holder and his compatriot, Asafa Powell. While the younger Jamaican emerged victorious comfortably with a time of 9.79 seconds, it was the climax which stole the show.

As Bolt finished the 100m dash, he took off in glee having bagged the gold medal. But his celebration lap was cut short as he ran into a flower girl. To everyone’s relief, no one was hurt in the collision as Bolt held on to the young girl as he slowed down to check on her.
