Sir Mohamed Muktar Jama Farah aka Mo Farah is a Somali-born British long-distance runner who is the most successful track athlete of his country in modern Olympic Games history. Apart from the Olympics medals, the 38-year-old has plenty of World Championships and European Championships medals as well against his name.
Born on March 23, 1983, Farah represented Hounslow at cross-country in the London Youth Games. In 1996, he entered the English schools’ cross-country and finished ninth but he won the first of five English school titles in the following year.
