Musetti is the youngest player in the top 100 on the men’s tour. At only nineteen, the young Italian has made heads turn by doing well in the last few tournaments. Musetti reached the Semi-finals of the Mexican Open where he was beaten by Stefanos Tsitsipas. On route though he had beaten players like Frances Tiafoe and Grigor Dimitrov. In Sardegna he was a Quarter-finalist. There he had got the better of Dan Evans, the British no.1.

He has been ranked as high as no.12 in the world. In the recent past Lopez has played only a handful of tournaments. He reached the third round of the Australian Open, and after that his best result was an appearance in the round of sixteen at the Andalucia Open, where he was defeated by rising Spanish star, the twenty one year old Carlos Alcaraz Garfia.
