ATP Cup 2021: Dusan Lajovic vs Jan-Lennard Struff Preview, Head-to-Head and Prediction
Germany’s challenge at the 2021 ATP Cup final group stage match will be headed by German no.2 Jan-Lennard Struff who takes on Dusan Lajovic from Serbia. This will be played on Thursday, February 4; as the encounter between the #26 and #37 clash for supremacy.
Dusan Lajovic started 2020 off with some exceptional performances in the inaugural ATP Cup that helped Novak Djokovic and Serbia claim the title.
However, Lajovic endured some awful form after the August restart and ended his season on a five-match losing streak stretching back to a second round defeat to Kevin Anderson at the delayed Roland-Garros.
As for Jan-Lennard Struff, he has been in a poor form too since his defeat in the third round of US Open against Novak Djokovic. He competed in almost all tournaments post New York but couldn’t get past the initial rounds despite being a seeded player. However, he started 2021 on a decent note reaching the quarter-finals of the Antalya Open.

Dusan Lajovic vs Jan-Lennard Struff: Prediction
Both the players are the second best of their respective teams. But their sheer quality is enough to lit up the crowd. Struff came out better the last time they met. But Lajovic in Australia seems like a different player.
The Serb was the perfect support for Djokovic last year to help Serbia lift the ATP cup. Expect some tough rallies and fierce baseline play. Lajovic may just edge over Struff this time round.
Prediction: Lajovic to win in three sets.
