Galan defeated Andrej Martin in straight sets in round one.

Hubert Hurkacz suffered a poor end to the season as he was knocked out in the first round of the Paris Masters. The Pole lost in the second round of the Vienna Open and could not progress into the further stages of a tournament towards the back end of the 2020 season. His best performance in 2020 came at the ASB Classic where he reached the semifinals, before losing to Benoit Paire in three sets. Hurkacz received a bye in the first round of the Delray Beach Open.
