Fucsovics is in some great form at the moment. In the Rotterdam Open he started from the qualifiers and eventually ended up reaching the Finals. Unfortunately for him, got beaten in the finals by Andrey Rublev. In the last tournament that he participated in, the Qatar Open, Fucsovics was going great guns and had reached the Quarter Finals of the event till injury ruled him out.

In the Dubai Open so far, Fucsovics has beaten Vasek Pospisil in the first round encounter, 2-6 7-5 6-4. In the second round, he recorded an impressive come from behind victory against the sixth seed Pablo Carreño Busta. His third round opponent is Serbian Dusan Lajovic. Lajovic had a great start to the year at the Australian Open, where he reached the fourth round of the competition. But since then his performances have been inconsistent.

At the Rotterdam Open, he played a great first round match and beat the current World no.2 Daniil Medvedev, but in the very next round lost to Borna Coric. In the Dubai Open so far, he had a first round bye and in the second round beat the journeyman Malek Jaziri 7-5 6-2.
