Pablo Carreno Busta, the top seed at the Marbella 2021 will be looking for his 5th ATP title, having won his 4th one in 2019 at the Chengdu Open. The Spaniard started 2021 with a semi-final appearance at the ATP Cup in January, but then has been going out in early rounds. He last featured on the tour at the Dubai Open where he went out in the Round of 32.
Soonwoo Kwon, the South-Korean youngster will be looking for his first ATP title having received the 7th seed. Soonwoo has been in search for form on the tour, losing out in early rounds itself. He however won the Biella Challenger Indoor 2 defeating Lorenzo Musetti and will be coming in with confidence to stage an upset against the top seed and challenge for the title.
