Tennys Sandgren is coming into the second round of the tournament by beating Salvatore Caruso with the score line of 6-2, 2-0 (Retd) . The American’s season did not quite take off this time as he was knocked out in the opening rounds of the Mexican Open and Australian Open. The world number 62 was knocked out in the first round of the Australian Open by rising star, Alex De Minaur. He lost in straight sets with the score line of 5-7, 1-6,1 -6. In the Australian Open 2020, he had reached the quarter finals where he lost to Roger Federer with the score line of 3-6, 6-2, 6-2, 6-7, 3-6.
