After that he participated in the South American leg of the tour, in the Argentina Open and the Chile Open, on clay, where his results were not great.
He last played in the Mexican Open where he was ousted by nineteen year old Italian Lorenzo Musetti in the second round. His first round opponent here is Stefano Travaglia. Travaglia last had a good outing at the Adelaide International tournament where he reached the Finals of the event.
In the Finals he was beaten by his countryman Jannik Sinner, 6-7 4-6. Post that though Travaglia has been ousted in the First round of all the events since then, the Australian Open, the Open 13 and the Mexican Open.

Frances Tiafoe vs Stefano Travaglia: Prediction
Tiafoe is a powerful player who serves well and returns equally well. His groundstrokes have a lot of power behind them, and Hard Courts suit his playing style the best. Travaglia has big shots up his sleeve too, but inconsistency has been his bane. Tiafoe should win this.
