Rolex Paris Masters, the last ATP 1000 event this year will commence from 2nd November. Top ranked players are in action to claim the trophy except Novak Djokovic, the defending champion and World number 1, who decided to skip the tournament after new rules for points system was introduced.

Rafael Nadal, who lifted his 13th French Open earlier this month, leads the field once again in Paris, being the top seed. The Spaniard has never won the Paris Masters title before and would be aiming for his 36th Masters title. Some other big names include the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev. Dominic Thiem also decided to withdraw from the tournament after a foot injury which troubled him at the Vienna Open.

The quarter includes the 9th seed, Pablo Carreno Busta and 8th seed, Borna Coric. Nadal has received a bye in the 1st round, and will face either Feliciano Lopez or Krajinovic In the 2nd round.  His third round opponent is expected to be Borna Coric. The Spaniard will reach the quarterfinals where his likely to face Pablo Carreno Busta who opens his campaign against French Open revelation, Hugo Gaston with a potential last 8 encounter against David Goffin.

Rublev and Zverev

The second quarter has the likes of the 4th seed, Alexander Zverev and the 5th seed, Andrey Rublev who can hardly put a foot wrong at this moment and has won 4 ATP titles this year. The quarter also includes Grigor Dimitrov and the 3 time Grandslam champion, Stan Wawrinka. Alexander Zverev received a bye in Round 1 and will most probably face John Millman in Round 2. He might have to get through against Dimitrov to book a place in the last 8 where he will face Andrey Rubelv. Rublev’s first real challenge will come in the last 16 against Stan Wawrinka.

Third Quarter

Schwartzman vs Minaur

The third quarter has the likes of the 6th seed, Diego Schwartzman and the 3rd seed, Daniil Medvedev.  Diego Schwartzman received a bye in the 1st round and faces a 2nd round match up against Taylor Fritz. However he is expected to come through defeating his probable third round opponent, Karen Khachanov and progress into the quarterfinals. The lower half of the 3rd quarter is wide open as Medvdev has not been in the best of form in the past 2 months. He received a bye in Round 1 and faces a 2nd round meeting against Kevin Anderson, who will potentially knock out the Russian.

Alex De Minaur will be the other quarterfinalist after his impressive showing at the European Open where he reached the finals. He faces Dusan Lajovic in Round  1 with a potential 2nd round clash against Lorenzo Sonego, who defeated Novak Djokovic in the last 8 in Vienna.

Raonic vs Tsitsipas

The fourth quarter has the likes of 2nd seed, Stefanos Tsitsipas, 7th seeded Mario Berretitini , Milos Raonic and Felix Auger Aliassime. Stefanos Tsitsipas will reach the quarterfinals but he faces a stern 2nd round test against Ugo Humbert or Casper Ruud. Tsitsipas might face Felix Auger Aliassime in the 3rd round in Paris. His opponent in the last 8 will be Milos Raonic, the big serving Canadian who faces Bedene in Round 1 and a potential  last 16 clash with Berretitini.

Tsitsipas will progress into the semifinals

The first quarterfinal between Rafael Nadal and Carreno Busta will see two Spaniards against each other. Nadal will win the encounter to progress into the last 4. The 2nd quarterfinal  between Zverev and Rublev will be one of the matches of the tournament as both the Nextgen stars go against each other. Zverev will just edge out Rublev in a 3 set thriller.

The 3rd quarterfinal will feature Diego Schwartzman against Australian, Alex De Minaur. Schwartzman will win the encounter to progress into the semifinals where his opponent will be the winner of the 4th quarterfinal match between Tsitsipas and Raonic. Tsitsipas will prevail over the Canadian, Raonic in a three set battle.

Rafael Nadal will be up against Alexander Zverev in an intriguing semifinal clash The Spaniard will defeat Zverev in a three set thriller which can go to the distance and book a place in the finals of the Paris Masters.

The 2nd semifinal between Schwartzman and Tsitsipas will see two French Open semifinalists of 2020 against each other. Schwartzman will defeat the Greek in the match and book a place in the finals and almost assure himself of a ticket to the Nitto ATP Finals.

Final

Rafael Nadal will win his maiden Paris Bercy title

Rafael Nadal will face Diego Schwartzman in a rematch of the French Open semifinal this year. Nadal will defeat the Argentinian in straight sets to claim his maiden Paris Masters title and move equal with Djokovic on 36 ATP Titles.
