US Open offers 2000 ranking points

Novak Djokovic

The US Open offers the players a chance to soar high in the rankings. Not only does it provide prize money worth $53.4 million but also 2000 ranking points.

Daniil Medvedev

While the world no.1 will love to hold his rank further as he steps at the Arthur Ash stadium. While his main competitors will be away, Serbian will have to stop the next-gen from climbing further the charts.

Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medveded and Dominic Theim have confirmed their participation in the slam. They have been seeking an opportunity to win a slam and the US Open 2020 shall provide it to them.

Yet Theim will only get closer to the top 2 players. The points margin is so wide that the 2000 points will still keep him at no. 3. Thus, the top 2 players, Djokovic and Nadal will remain untouchable.

Federer holds the number 4 spot in the world with 6630 points. He is followed by Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas. While Medvedev needs less than thousand points to pass Federer, Tsitsipas will need above thousand points to move his rank closer to Medvedev.

The US Open will provide a great chance to the top 10 players to improve their rankings. The latter half, filled with the next-gen tycoons, will hope to get to the quarters at the slam to climb some positions.
