At Rotterdam he lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas in the round of thirty two, and then to Daniil Medvedev at Open 13 at the round of sixteen stage. His last tournament was the Dubai Open where he lost in the first round to rising star Aslan Karatsev. Here, he faced seventh seed Guido Pella of Argentina in the first round. A match he won in straight sets 6-4 6-0. His opponent in the second round is Slovenia’s Aljaz Bedene.

Egor Gerasimov vs Aljaz Bedene: Prediction

Egor Gerasimov
Egor Gerasimov

Gerasimov is in good form and would like to keep moving forward with wins under his belt. Bedene of course is no slouch but lacks the firepower to beat players out and out. If Gerasimov plays up to his potential he should win this match.

Match Prediction: Egor Gerasimov will beat Aljaz Bedene in three sets.
