Laslo Djere vs Nikoloz Basilashvili: Prediction

Laslo Djere
Laslo Djere

World No. 57 Djere won the Sardinia Open last year, not to be confused with this one-off Sardegna Open in Cagliari, and has two ATP titles to his name on this surface. He will have an upper hand going into the match.

Breaking a five-match losing streak in Doha, Basilashvili won five in a row to claim his fourth ATP title. One of those wins was against Roger Federer in the quarterfinals. He has won two matches in a row in Cagliari and but his streak can come to an unfortunate end against Djere. Expect the Serb to sail into the Finals.

Prediction: Djere to win in straight sets.
