Lorenzo Sonego vs Taylor Fritz : Match Preview
Lorenzo Sonego will be making his first semi-finals appearance this year when he takes the court on Saturday. The 25-year old Italian had a first-round bye followed by a straight-set victory in the 2nd round. He had to however win in the final set in quarter-finals but won the 3rd set comfortably after narrowly going down in the 2nd set.
Taylor Fritz makes his first appearance on the tour as American No. 1 and has looked exceptionally well at Cagliari. The 23-year old is yet to drop a set and has reached the semis without breaking sweat. This will be his 2nd semi-final appearance and will be looking to make it his first final appearance.

This will be the 4th meeting between the two players. The duo last met at the 2021 Qatar Open in Doha where Fritz emerged victorious and took the lead in their head-to-head tie. Fritz leads the tie 2-1.
