ATP Vienna Open: Grigor Dimitrov vs Dan Evans Preview, Head-to-Head and Prediction for Erste Bank Open

Bulgarian player, Grigor Dimitrov lost in the fourth round of the 2020 French Open. He then made his way into the European Open. Dimitrov defeated players like Milos Raonic before bowing out to Alex De Minaur in a thrilling three setter 7-6(4),6-7(3),6-4. Dimitrov is into the quarters after winning against Karen Khachanov and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

The Brit, Dan Evans, was also in the semi-finals of the European Open, before losing to Ugo Humbert. The Brit has not been tested at the Vienna Open. He received a walkover in round one and played a much lower-ranked Jurij Rodionov in round 2. Against the much experienced, Dimitrov, Evans will be facing a tough challenge.

The duo Dimitrov and Evans have clashed four times before. In the year 2011, at their first clash, Dimitrov won 2-6, 7-6(5), 6-4 at the grass courts of Eastbourne, Britain. Next up in 2016, the duo played in the US hard courts where Evans levelled the head-to-head 1-1 with a straight-set win 6-4, 6-4.

In the China tour, Dimitrov won 7-5, 7-5 in 2019. This year at the ATP cup tour in Australia, Grigor won his third match. This is their fourth clash with Dimitrov leading head to head 3-1.
