Cooper DeJean played it coy when Kay Adams asked him about his romance with Nikki Bella. The Philadelphia Eagles cornerback, 22, has been linked with the 42-year-old WWE superstar since the pair posed for a photo at the Eagles training camp last summer.

The paparazzi began to keep tabs on the budding relationship and caught her attending the Eagles’ win over the Raiders in December. Bella, a massive Eagles fan, took photos in front of DeJean’s locker.

When she returned to Philly at Xfinity Mobile Arena on Monday for a WWE episode, she couldn’t escape the crowd’s excitement about learning more about their relationship. Nikki and her sister Brie initially mistook the cheers for boos. Nikkie was the first to respond.

“Is that for the Eagles not getting in the Super Bowl or us?” Nikki Bella said. Brie quickly added, “I actually think they’re saying “Coop,” to which Nikki replied, “Can you blame a girl for having good taste? I mean, Pro Bowl baby!”

On Tuesday, DeJean took part in his first Pro Bowl game, representing the Eagles alongside fellow second-year DB Quinyon Mitchell. A day later, he was sitting in front of Kay Adams on her show when he found out about Bella’s confession.

As he discussed the prospect of being a ‘fun uncle’ when Eagles teammate Reed Blankenship‘s baby is born this year, Adams quickly chimed in “And Aunt Nikki Bella?” which brought out a grin from DeJean.

“Good one. I’m not so sure about that—she’s a good friend,” DeJean replied with a cheeky grin, before responding to Bella’s comment about having “good taste”: “She could be talking about anyone.” In addition, the Super Bowl winner praised Bella’s wrestling career: “[Nikki’s] amazing at what she does. She’s been doing it for a long time.”

Toward the end of January, the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the Cowboys had reached an agreement to make Christian Parker their defensive coordinator. Parker worked as the Eagles’ passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach on Nick Sirianni’s coaching staff.

DeJean wasn’t thrilled by the news. He quickly tweeted:

Man. They got a great one wouldn’t be the player I am without Coach CP.

DeJean was particularly close to Parker. Prior to the announcement, he expressed his gratitude toward his former coach. He added:

I could say a lot of thing about him, what he meant to me. I don’t think I’d be the player that I am or not have the success that I’ve had without him.

Three days later, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that the Eagles had filled the position left vacant by Parker with safeties coach Joe Kasper.

The Eagles drafted DeJean, an Iowa graduate, 40th overall in 2024. Since then, he has gone on to make 32 appearances in the regular season, racking up 144 combined tackles, 22 pass deflections, 2 interceptions, one forced fumble, 3 forced returns, and 0.5 sacks.
