LeBron James is undoubtedly one of the best basketball players post the legendary Michael Jordan era in the NBA. Notably, some may argue that James edges Jordan due to his longevity and iconic career. At least, James’ Lakers teammate, Austin Reaves thinks that way. On Thursday, the Lakers beat the Portland Trail Blazers by 110-102 with both, James(40 points) and Reaves(32 points) playing important roles for the win.

James was particularly outstanding, breaking the 40-point mark for the third time since his 40th birthday.
In NBA history, James’ achievements at his age are unmatched. Reaves vehemently defended James’ current actions, claiming that anyone who questions his accomplishments is merely a Jordan fan or admirer.

However, despite Reaves’ comments about James, it is not valid to classify every James hater as a Jordan fan. There is a real problem when supporters of one player constantly disparage another in an attempt to undermine them. But every sane fan should be aware that Jordan and James have both left behind amazing legacies that may never be equaled.

James scored 40 points, pulled down eight rebounds, and dished out four assists in the victory. Hence, Reaves had reason to give him high marks. James did everything he could to help the Lakers win Friday night.

Notably, this win was without Luka Doncic, even though his haters also pointed out his 11 turnovers. In addition to James’ outstanding performance, Reaves had a fantastic game, scoring 32 points (9-21 FG) and dishing out seven assists.
