It looks like the cracks have finally started to show between the duo of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory. Despite holding the WWE Tag Team Championships, animosity has gradually increased over the past few weeks. That became increasingly evident when the Aussie superstar put his partner in harm’s way to save himself.

The Aussie superstar wrestled against his old rival, Johnny Gargano on the latest episode of SmackDown. Both superstars threw insults at each other, reliving the memorable rivalry they had in NXT. Gargano quickly gained control with a modified Canadian Destroyer after a thrilling back-and-forth exchange. As Grayson Waller was taking a breather outside, he used Austin Theory as a shield to save himself.

The other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions picked up the victory after executing a flipping Unprettier on the distracted Gargano. As the Australian-born superstar celebrated his win, the former United States champion gave an annoyed look while wincing in pain. The interesting thing was that Waller didn’t even care to ask if he was okay, signifying that he only cared about his win.

However, the 34-year-old star has been utilizing Theory for quite some time. He avoided the wrath of an enraged Randy Orton by instigating his partner to confront him a few months ago. All the segments and misunderstandings between both superstars will eventually culminate in one outcome: Theory turning babyface and launching an attack on Waller.

Austin Theory compared the stunners of Kevin Owens and Stone Cold Steve Austin

Stone Cold Steve Austin is one of the most influential personalities in the wrestling world. Not only fans, but many wrestlers have emulated the way he talked, walked, and wrestled. One of those wrestlers is Kevin Owens, who adopted the Hall of Famer’s iconic finishing move, the Stunner, into his arsenal. Austin Theory gave his opinion in an interview about which Stunner he liked more between the two of them.

While speaking on the Battleground podcast, the former United States Champion admired the unique style in which both performed the move. He stated that although Owens’ Stunners were like out of nowhere, he couldn’t choose him over the “goat.” Theory admitted that when he ate the Stunner from Stone Cold that was the highest he had ever gone.

I will say Kevin Owens, he's got a pretty good Stunner. He's quick with it. It comes out of nowhere. but man, you gotta give it to the GOAT, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Stone Cold, I don't know what it is, man, but that arm, he's been whipping a** for so long, man. All that beer, man. It's in that arm, and you just get shotgunned with it.

The 26-year-old further added that he didn’t want to be compared with how Scott Hall and The Rock sold the Stunner. The mere mention of The Great One’s name irritated him, and he said he didn’t have to talk about him. Ultimately, Theory claimed himself to be the best seller of the Stone Cold Stunner.
