Indian bowling ace Jasprit Bumrah showed his batting might for the first time ever with a scintillating half-century in India’s tour match against Australia A today at the Sydney Cricket Ground. His quick knock of 55 off just 57 balls was the headline in what was a topsy-turvy day for India on the field. India were reduced to 9 wickets for just 123 runs but Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj got the score to 194.

In the second innings, the Indian bowlers were in top form as they bundled out Australia A for just 108. Mohammed Shami and Navdeep Saini chipped in with 3 wickets apiece as well.

‘Try one new thing per day, they said

Following his terrific innings and maiden half-century, Jasprit Bumrah took to Twitter to take a jibe at his batting skills captioning a picture of him batting, “Try one new thing per day, they said.” along with a laughing emoji.

India will definitely want Bumrah to come good with the ball in the 4-match Test series that is scheduled to begin from December 17. They will also be more than happy if he chips in with some crucial runs towards the end and keeps the Indian tail wagging while frustrating the Australian bowlers.
