Australia vs India 3rd ODI: Preview, Probable XI, Head-to-Head and Fantasy 11
The Indian team could not come back from their defeat in the first ODI as they registered a loss in the second match as well. Chasing a mammoth target of 390, Virat Kohli’s men fell 51 runs short of the target at the SCG. With this win, Australia also gained an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match One Day series.
‘Men in Blue’ will now lock horns with the kangaroos for the third ODI match at the Manuka Oval, Canberra. India will play this game for pride in a dead-rubber to take some positives for the tour ahead.
Team Preview
Australia
The Aussies have dominated the series in both the matches in all three departments of the game. After registering one-sided victories of 66 and 51 runs respectively in the previous two games, they have already won the series.
However, the Australian team suffered a massive blow after their star opener David Warner picked a groin injury during the last match. As a result, the southpaw has been ruled out from the remainder of the series and the three T20Is. Mathew Wade might replace him, and Marnus Labuschagne would move up to open the innings.
India
No one expected the Indian team players to look so flat during the two matches against the kangaroos. India’s batting gave a tough fight to the opposition while their bowling and fielding disappointed all. Hardik Pandya’s bowling and Virat Kohli getting back his lost form turned out to be the only positives for them.
The Indian team might make a few changes in their lineup, keeping the remaining matches of the tour in mind. Kuldeep Yadav and Shardul Thakur might get opportunities in place of Yuzvendra Chahal and Navdeep Saini.
