Australian Open 2021: “Maybe she has taken too much gin or tequila” – Rafael Nadal reacts to woman showing him the middle finger

An interesting incident occurred during Rafael Nadal’s second round match against Michael Mmoh as a furious and foul-mouthed woman was seen showing the middle finger to the Spaniard and ranting at him. The incident happened just as he was preparing to serve when the woman who had clearly consumed a lot of alcohol shouted “Hurry up, you OCD f***“.
The crowd who where amused at first attempted to stop her by talking loudly and making noise to drown out her volume. She was then escorted out of the stadium after she showed the middle finger. The incident did not distract Nadal one bit as he raced to a 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 win over his opponent to make his way to the third round.

I was surprised, yes, but at the same time was thinking: ‘Poor girl.’ Because probably she was drunk or something like this.”
