Novak Djokovic vs Milos Raonic: Preview

Novak Djokovic

No.1 seed Novak Djokovic started as the favorite to lift the trophy at Melbourne this year. Three rounds later, he may just be on the verge of an unfortunate exit.

Djokovic battled past Taylor Fritz 7-6(1),6-4,3-6,4-6,6-2 in the third round. Nole looked well on course to win the match in straight sets before picking up an injury mid-third set. After medical timeouts, a gritty Djokovic eventually closed the match and rated his win ‘one of the more specials’.

Novak Djokovic vs Milos Raonic: Prediction

Novak Djokovic

If fully fit, Djokovic is the clear favorite to win the encounter. He is unlikely to take the court but if he plays, he might not play at 100% fitness. And given Raonic’s serving abilities, he may have a real chance to defeat the Serb for the first time in his career.

Prediction: Raonic to win in four sets
