Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz have faced each other seven times on the court, with the former leading 4-3 in their head-to-head record. However, the Australian Open quarter-finals will be the first time they will be facing each other in a major court tournament.
Last year, Alcaraz and Djokovic split their two meetings, with the Spaniard winning on the grass court of the Wimbledon Championship final for the second consecutive time. Djokovic then hit back on clay at the Paris Olympics, with a straight set win to win his elusive gold medal.
