Aryna Sabalenka is into her third consecutive Australian Open final. The Belarusian, also chasing the title in Melbourne for the third consecutive time, will be up against USA’s Madison Keys.

This will be the second time Keys will be playing a Grand Slam final, following the 2017 US Open. Before this, Keys, who beat Iga Swiatek in the semifinal, made it to the last four at the Australian Open twice but was defeated.

Aryna Sabalenka vs. Madison Keys: Match Preview

Aryna Sabalenka started her run in Melbourne with a straight-set win over Sloane Stephens. She then registered three more wins in straight sets in the next three rounds she played against Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, Clara Tauson, and Mirra Andreeva.

The World No.1 then dropped a set for the first time when she met Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the quarterfinals before knocking out former World No.2 Paula Badosa 6-4, 6-2 to inch closer to completing a threepeat at the Australian Open.

Madison Keys, however, had a difficult campaign. After beating Ann Li in straight sets, she overcame Elena-Gabriela Ruse in three sets before knocking out Danielle Collins in straight sets.

The American ace then fended off 2023 Australian Open finalist Elena Rybakina and then Elina Svitolina in the next two rounds in three sets before setting up the semifinal clash with Iga Swiatek. Keys denied the five-time Grand Slam champion a chance to lift the Australian Open for the first time by beating her with score line of 5-7, 6-1, 7-6(8).

Aryna Sabalenka vs. Madison Keys: Match Prediction

Sabalenka has become a dominating player on hard courts, winning all of her three Grand Slam singles titles on the surface. But Keys, being one of the big servers on the WTA Tour, has the ability to pull off upsets.

Sabalenka, however, will enter in the match as the favorite to win. Keys has won just one match out of the five she played against the first seed. Their last meeting was in the fourth round of the 2024 China Open, which the 26-year-old won in straight sets.
