- Ayesha Curry praises Stephen Curry for his ability to compartmentalize emotions and inspire her.

- The couple is set to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary while Stephen hopes to continue his basketball career.
When Stephen Curry is not playing basketball, he spends most of his time with his wife, Ayesha Curry, and their four children at their home in the Bay Area.
The two have been married for fifteen years, and most of it has been with the former child actor managing her side interests along with raising her family.
But throughout that time, there have been certain indications that the Canadian was leaning towards building her own career, as she apparently looked lost when standing next to her illustrious husband.
Many fans even called her out for seemingly embarrassing the Golden State Warriors superstar time and time again. Be it revealing his kinks or saying something that reveals her apparent jealousy, fans have been calling her ‘unworthy’ of him.
That quickly spread to streamers and celebrities, and Stephen Curry had to ensure rapper Killer Mike understood not to stray too far into criticizing his wife.
He is so even-keeled, and he can compartmentalize really big emotions very well. And he does know how to block out the noise. So, I’ve learned little by little… Year after year after year, I’ve seen him do things when he doesn’t have to. Then I see the results that come from that, and it’s extremely inspiring.

Ayesha Curry on what he learned from Steph after all their accomplishments in their 15 years of marriage:

When the mother of four finished saying this, her husband thanked her for her gesture. Then, podcast host Michelle Obama reiterated that it was sweet of Ayesha Curry to detail how her husband is to her.
Ayesha Curry used to have a ‘no athletes’ rule
Ayesha Curry went on to clarify how her down-to-earth husband is the polar opposite of her fiery side, and how that brings the blend in their relationship.

Then, IMO with Michelle Obama co-host and brother of the former first lady, Craig Robinson, asked the 37-year-old whether it was true that she had a ‘no athletes’ rule before meeting Stephen Curry.
That is true… Very disrespectful comment also on my part… I had very textbook, maybe misconceptions, ideas of athletes. Stereotype.
Ayesha Curry replied
When she mentioned the word ‘disrespectful,’ her four-time champion husband burst into a bout of laughter, knowing how irony came full circle.
Ayesha Curry apologizes to her husband Steph for saying athletes weren’t her type when she was younger & clarifies that Steph was always her type, but she didn’t think a “cool jock” like him would be interested in a “nerdy Theater” girl like her 😭❤️

Mrs. Curry is now married to one of the most well-known athletes of the modern era, and knows how she will carry the label of being an athlete’s wife until the end of her time on this earth.
However, she acknowledged thankfully, the misconceptions were out of the window, as her two-plus decades of being with Stephen Curry have proved to her.
Stephen Curry hopes to continue playing
When Michelle Obama asked what the Currys were looking forward to with their lives, Ayesha Curry confirmed that once the season ends, she and her husband will be celebrating their 15th anniversary in the summer.
17th year in the league, we’ll see how many more years on the court, and hopefully it’s not over too soon. But it is at that stage where you start to think about, you know, appreciate every year. But then after that, who knows? We’re very bad in predicting the future, at least I am.
Stephen Curry replied
This was the 12-time All-Star, hoping that he could continue playing basketball at the highest level. At the same time, he reiterated that his predictions generally do not pan out.
Steph and Ayesha on what’s next for the Currys:
— aly ✶ (@jinthirty) March 25, 2026
Ayesha: “We have our 15th year wedding anniversary this summer. Very happy about that.”
Steph: “17th year in the league, we’ll see how many more years on the court, and hopefully it’s not over too soon. But it is at that stage… pic.twitter.com/3iAXhzVn7o
The 38-year-old admitted that he is not the best when it comes to predictions, and that is why he always regrets making them later. At this point, Ayesha Curry mentioned that she is the one who lets him know how bad he was off his targets, to which the Warriors star agreed.
